What makes you laugh? My mate Ross’s attempts at spodding! And just generally all me mates either on the bank or off we all have a good laugh and a few good socials now and then..

Most memorable capture / achievement? There are a few great memories but the one that stands out the most was a fish I caught recently, it came from a very big English water, a lot of hard work was involved but when it all came together the feeling is indescribable, and to share that memory with a very good mate of mine is fantastic.

What gives you the passion and drive to go fishing? For me it is targeting big fish from big waters, the buzz you get after finally achieving your goal is something that you cannot describe.. I love catching carp of all size’s but chasing the biggun’s, that’s what gives me the buzz.

Angling Influences: My Granddad as without him I wouldn’t be angling, a few of me mates from back up north, they wouldn’t appreciate there names been mentioned but they know who they are.. They know how to catch em.

Why Tails Up: In my angling I have to have 100% confidence in my bait and before I used the tails up gear it was one part of my angling that I was never happy with, I just couldn’t get to grips with any one bait and was constantly chopping and changing. I have been using the tails up gear for the last couple of years now and hand on heart I can honestly say I have 100% confidence in the bait.
I can now put the bait issue to the back of mind and concentrate on the rest of my angling, it has truly caught everywhere I have taken it, the carp want to eat it and that will do for me… but as they say the proof is in the pudding so get on it and give it a try for yourself!
