What makes you laugh?      Some of the comments my missus comes out with! Some of the antics my fishing buddies get up too.

 Most memorable capture / achievement?        I think the capture of my first 20lb carp was very memorable for me as I had to try so hard to catch it. It seemed to mark the start of my fishing career and after fishing numerous venues and after landing
hundreds of carp, including 12 separate 19lb fish to 19lb 14oz, I finally landed a 26lb 4oz carp at the young age of 14.
As you can imagine at that age i was ecstatic! I’ve had loads of 20's and 30's since, but I’m sure a lot of others will agree that your first 20 is always a special capture.

What gives you the passion and drive to go fishing?      Easy, carp are the passion and enjoyment and testing myself gives me the drive.
I want to enjoy every minute I go fishing. I'm lucky if I get one night a week on the bank and I want to enjoy every minute.
I’m there regardless of whether I catch or not (it helps if I do!) I'm lucky that my dad enjoys carp fishing as much as me and as well as being a wealth of knowledge, experience and a great buddy to go fishing with, he keeps me motivated. I also like progressing
my angling. Setting myself targets drives my angling and achieving those goals really gives me a satisfaction of bettering myself.

Angling Influences: My dad and believe it or not a passion for angling with Bob James and Chris Yates was a massive influence.    

Why Tails Up:

Before Tails up I tried a lot of different baits, none of which were consistent enough for my liking.
