 What gives you the passion and drive to go fishing? I work in a noisy environment so the peace and quiet is almost enough for me. I’d have to say the mystery of catching an un-caught carp would get any angler out the house.

 Angling Influences: My mates definitely! We all spur each other on but the mates in particular would have to be Steve Mogford, John Beecher and Dave Magalhaes. They’re proper old school and make fishing so much easier after a quick chat.    

 Why Tails Up: About three or four years ago now, I was struggling to find a bait that I had any real confidence in, until Ash and Ed took over the company and freshened things up. It was nice to talk to anglers on the same wave length, who were as fussy as I am in their attention to detail. They gave me some bait to try on a lake I was fishing at the time (which was to become the OCM), and I had some great results. Since then I haven’t looked back. It’s a high quality red fishmeal that’s an unquestionable carp catcher, and I still swear by it now!
