Bait: OCM 18mm bottom bait

Tackle and Rig: century fs 31/2tc, shimano super ultegra loaded with 12lb line, 1.5oz lead, 6inch korda supernatural hooklink to a size 8 fox hook.

Story: Today would be the last day that i could fish for a month so i just had to bag 1 more. I saw a few shows down the northerly end of the lake so decided to head over and investigate. Whilst sat in my swim, i saw a number of large fish roll within 20 yards of the bank. I put on a small lead in hope of not spooking them and flicked the bait 20 yards to where they were showing. I threw out 20 baits around the hookbait in hope that they would go for a munch. 1 hour and a half later and a fish slipped up and once again a battle commenced. After a short 5 minute tussle an impressive mirror lay in the bottom of my net. With the help of a friend we weighed the fish at 39lb bang on. I feel priveledged to have caught 1 of my target fish so soon on in the season and my 2nd from the venue only 3 days after having the 37. What a bait!
