Great to see you at the five Lakes Carp show. stand looked good.

Last week I did a little pre baiting as I know that there has been
very few fish caught since Christmas and thought that this could
make the difference.

This pre baiting consisted of SC25 pellets, SC25 crushed boilies,
hemp and a very small amount of sweet corn soaked in the SC25 dip. The
corn was mainly to give it some colour.

Well just done the last 36 hrs at my syndicate lake in essex. Sunday
started off with heavy snow but not a fish in sight not even a show
on the water.

I was the only person on the lake at the start of the day but some
regulars turned up later on. The day finished up with no fish or
even any sign of one.

Well sad to say but I had a good nights sleep and this only meant
one thing No fish. The others on the lake also saw nothing that night but
I woke up to a buitiful sun rise which was a pleasure to see as
everything was covered in a thick frost.

So I rebaited and spodded out some more feed thinking that this
could still make the difference as the others were all using minimal feed.
At 09.30hrs monday morning my middle rod gave one slight bleep,
then another with a slight drop back, so I thought sod it, hit it, and
the rod went solid.

This was not the best of fights for 33lb 12oz mirror but it was
equal to my current PB for a mirror and it was the first Thirty out of the
lake this year.

Saw nothing else the rest of the day from anyone but I certainly
went home with a smile.

Those 18mm SC25 boilies done it
again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
