The last few months have flown past! The Pro Fish has been flying out the door and its great to hear all the reports so keep them coming!! The ocm accounted for 7 Personal Bests between 3 anglers in one week in France, with carp to 56lb, it really does score well on trips abroad as well as some of the most pressured water in the uk.
The new bait has been given its name “Peachy Nuts” its been doing the business so far already accounting for several 40s up to 45lb and now the warmer weather has arrived we are sure there will be more to come in the next few months!

Spring has finally sprung! Heres a couple of fish that fell to The Pro Fish on last few days of the season..
Joe was lucky enough to catch the first and last carp from our local syndicate, to top it off he had no less than 31 carp for the season, a feat that has not been achieved for a few years. In fact between 3 of us on the Pro Fish we had nearly half the captures for the entire season, fish weights went through the roof and some of the rear residents came out several times to the Pro Fish! It just goes to show the application of top quality bait on a little and often basis what it can do.... So if you’re looking for a new bait this season to introduce and reap the rewards of applying a quality boilie then get on the Pro Fish!!!
There have been a few who stuck it out this winter and persevered in, lets be honest some horrendous conditions so well done to Jake Lund for winning 5kg of bait for March’s capture of the month.
Remember to keep the catch reports coming in and our annual prize in conjunction with Obsession Carp Tours is going too announced in Carp Talk in the coming month!

Fieldtesters will be pleased that the New Nut Bait is nearly ready and first trials should be ready to go out middle of April latest. I am taking orders now so if you would like to pre order your bait then please let me know.
I would like to introduce a few New Faces at Tails Up, we have taken on 4 Team Members for 2010, James “Locky” Mann, an accomplished angler with 2 English 50s to his name, The Annie & Black Eye. Jim has been with Tails Up a few years now and is very much part of the future development of the Tails Up Product Range.
Rob Willingham, who has a growing reputation for catching all that swims within the lakes that he targets, He already has a Big fish list to Proud of and we hope this year he adds to that. The way he has started we are sure he will. His first capture came from his first trip out to a half frozen lake and nailed a lovely 26lber from the edge of the ice on a New Flouro Pro Fish Corker!
Jonathan Todd, I’ve personally known John since I started serious carp fishing over 15 years ago, he is a true inspiration to us all and one you cannot help but respect and admire. He has literally caught everything that swims from his local lakes and im proud to have him on board as he has now taken an active role in helping develop new products, he is a core part of Team Tails Up.
Joe Stephens, well, What can we say about Joeseph, since turning to Tails Up Bait he has had an incredible last 9 months breaking his Personal Best on numerous occasions (take a look at the 2010/11 back page of the catalogue) and now helps run the Factory and has quickly become a valued part of Team Tails Up.
The weather finally looks like it’s on the turn for the better and soon we will all have a spring in our step to get the rods out and take advantage of some very hungry carp!

More January News 2010
Finally the Snow has relented for the time being, with many lakes thawed I’m sure there’s a few lunatics among you that have your first trip of the year planned.
The 2010 catalogue is little over a month away now, with articles from Josh Bennet, Matt Jackson and Marcus Fretwell, you will be sure to have some reading material. Not to mention the new and improved products due for release from March 2010.
The new nut meal boilie range is in its final stage of development. The mix incorporates tiger nut meal, hemp meal, a low level of fishmeal and a new high protein vegetable meal, combined with an attractor system to make your mouth water. It really is going to raise the bar in nutritional nut meal baits. Anyone who is intersted in being involved in the trials please contact me, it going to be available around April/May.
Anyone who has not signed up to the website or text their name and address to our adverts in the magazines in the last 2 years please do so to receive your catalogue for the start of March 2010.

With onset of Winter being somewhat delayed its meant many of our customers have been cashing in on this unusual autumn. It’s mad to think there hasn’t even been a frost so to speak! What a contrast to last year!
One such angler, Joe Stephens has had 2 PBs in as many months and the latest one being a near leather at over 40lbs! Top angling and on the sub zero too....Not to mention Graham Henning once again slipping the net under White Scale from Silvermere. Matt Jackson has also continued his run on roach pit and Marcus Fretwell has had the Client from Fen Drayton! For more information see recent Catch reports.
A Special Winter Offer! For bait orders of 5kg you are now able to get 2 sizes of your choice for the same price (e.g. 2.5kg of each 10s and 14s), this offer will run until the end of January 2010.

Autumn is upon us and before we know it winter will only be just around the corner, so what better time to announce that there is going to be a winter version of the awesome Pro Fish, it will be available from early October so anyone who’s wondering whether to get on the Pro Fish or not you can be sure that it will continue to work right through winter. The winter version keeps exactly the same label (flavour) system, the only difference is that the base mix is cut 50/50 with quality winter mix that we produce, the key is due to the baits coarser make up it releases the goodness of the bait more readily in the colder water temperatures. Results last year were truly amazing, so for those who like to keep the bait going in over the winter months this is the one for you.
There will also be the chance to have the Pineapple and Banana flavour system on the 50/50 mix, but this will only be available in bulk amounts, trust me this one has devastated waters in the last 2 years. For those who are interested please ring and speak to me for more information.
The old carp are well on the munch at the moment so take full advantage of the coming months, keep the bait going in and soon there might just be a fish of a life time in the bottom of your net!

The last month or so has been a little crazy to say the least, The Pro Fish has continued its initial success, with many lake records and personal bests its a true testiment to the quality of the bait, it really is setting a new standard, already since its release it has accounted for 3 x 50lb+ English carp, The Annie, Black Eye and now a cambridge 50+ mirror and more to come im sure.
It is with great shame i am writting this, Ed has left the company, i would like to thank him for all his hard work over the last few years and not to mentions his mothers work behind the scenes. I wish him well with his new venture and all the best for the future.
I would like to say i am dedicated to Tails Up and the furture is looking good, with plenty of new products due for release over the next year you can be asured the quality and customer service will be maintained as the Tails Up Range of products grow!
Well done to Marc Jordon for winning the online may competition and june goes to skateboard well done and much deserved after 3 years!

The Pro fish has really taken off now and reports of Big Fish have been flooding in, once again the Annie has fallen to the awesome Pro Fish, Perry Harris’s second capture in a year of the Annie and twice on the Pro Fish.
Perhaps more notable is James Manns capture of the giant Black Eye from Chad Lake, his second 50 in under a year on once again the Pro Fish, pics and write ups to follow.
Other Top Anglers have been in fine form of late, my last news letter said watch out for Terry Hofgartner, well he has hit the jackpot twice in the last week, taking the awesome Gums at 40+ and Charlie’s Mate at 46lb, top angling fella...
Mick tuck has also had one of the best looking linears ive ever seen from the famous Cottom Farm in Kent, pics to follow shortly..
Marchs competition winner was a hard one to judge, but it has to go to Josh Bennet for the capture of the Big Platted Mirror from St John’s, well done chap no one deserves it more...
Aprils winner is Jamie Cruickshanki, what a stunner form the pads lake and one to watch in the future I think.
May is hotting up and no doubt there will be even more headlines in the weeks to come so keep an eye out for the latest news

Continued Success on the OCM
There’s no stopping young Josh Bennet at the moment! he has just been in contact to let us know he managed to catch the awesome Big Plated Mirror from St Johns in Oxford last weekend, what a result, I believe on his first session as well and a new personal best, photos and catch report to follow....
If thats not enough, Terry Hofgartner has just landed The Mighty Clanger from Silvermere at a huge weight of 45lb 10oz, together with Polo at over 39lb, once again on the OCM... Terrys off to Frimley now so watch this space!!

Its been a long cold winter to say the least, finally the sun is out and spring is on its way!
One of our die hard anglers has been catching well of late, so well done to Josh Bennet for winning the Februarys competition! This lad just loves the OCM and his results speaks for themselves... you can also read his article in the new 2009/10 catalogue.

Once again this year has lived up to all expectations and 2009 is going to be a promising year for Tails Up, with the launch of the New Bait, the devastating Pro Fish! it is going to be launched on the 3rd of MARCH 09, available to pre order from mid february. Its been a very exiting 2 years in the making and now the finished product is one that will rival any bait on the market, the sheer amount of rod hours and fish caught leaves us in no doubt that this bait is going to send shock waves through the industry!

Introducing The Pro Fish
Since its release to the dedicated fieldtesters early last year, this bait has been dominating lakes since its first introduction; you only have to look at the pages in the weekly mags to see how many big fish have fallen to the bait since its initial development. The amount of P.Bs that have been broken using this bait is truly staggering.
So mush so that we our now inundated with requests on when its going to be released, the answer? the early part of 2009. A date to be confirmed later this year!
One lake that that it has totally dominated in the last 12 months is the Manor (Essex), with the largest resident being the famous Annie, it has been caught no less than 5 (yes five) times on the bait in the last year, thats out of 9 captures and 2 out of the 4 other times, it came to spots that had been baited no more than 48hours previously with the Pro Fish. That may seem a bold statement but its fact!
This really is a bait that has been tested on some of the hardest waters around, with growing reputation, you can be sure once its general release that you will be using one of the finest baits available on the market!

Hot of the press...!!!!
Young Ben Owen has hit the jackpot not once but three times over the last month! the first one came in the shape of his 1st 40lber, from the tricky swan valley lake, then only on his second session on the legendary Horton Church lake he managed to net himself a 40+ grass carp of the top, unfortunately before i could get to his swim to take the photos and even before he weighed it.... it launched itself out of the net only to escape down the margin and back into the depths! The following weekend Ben returned, managing to get on some showing fish, he soon had none other than the mighty Shoulders in the net, and fortunately he did get photos of that one!
thats a proper result! well done Ben
if that wasnt enough, the Annie has once again fallen to the soon to be released Pro fish!

Catalogue
It’s been great to hear that the catalogue has been so well received, and we’re definitely off and running now for the new season, having sent over a ton of bait out last week alone “and it’s only the beginning of April”.
The lads have been doing the business on the bank as well, with some massive fish coming out in the last few weeks (See the catch report pages for details). It seems nearly every other day we’re receiving catch reports of 30 & 40lb fish on the bait. Fish like the 40lb Common Lee Lynch had out of Amwell, a lake record Common and a new PB for Lee & Matt Jackson banking Shaun’s fish, a new forty for the Roach Pit, Hampshire and another PB for Matt.
We really do appreciate all the catch reports that get sent in to us and in to Carp Talk for our competition, so keep up the good work.

Bout time to...
On Sunday afternoon, I had a voicemail message from Ash that went something like “I’ve had her mate... F@*kin had her... 58Lb.....Awesome........ Call me!!”
So the end of mission, one that started just under 3 years ago and ended during the 1st night back on the lake in nearly 5 months. At 58lb on the nose, the Annie is currently one of the biggest Carp in the country and the fish of a lifetime by anyone’s standards.

LAKE PB FOR TAILS UP 1ST ONLINE CUSTOMER
Brian Riggs was Tails Up’s first customer to order on line, and also new to the bait. He received the delivery on Thursday last week. A few days later and the first time using Tails Up, he banked the fish know as Orange Scale at over 38lb followed by 2 more mid 20lb fish on Cemex’s Roach Pit in Hampshire. See the pictures and read about it on our recent captures page. Good angling and a massive well done to Brian, surely the early sign’s of a great year to come.
